séminaires : Séminaire Dr. Dinish U. S

M. Dinish U. S, Docteur en bio-optique et imagerie de l'Université Technologique de Nanyang (NTU) Singapour, donnera un séminaire intitulé "Novel Photonics Sensing and Imaging Techniques for Translational Biomedical Applications: From Bench to Bed Side" le Mercredi 21 novembre 2018 à 10h30 en salle de conférences à XLIM.

Abstract: In this talk, our recent advancements in the field of optical biosensing and imaging for various pre-clinical, clinical and industrial projects will be highlighted. Recent advancement in the field of Raman Scattering (RS) and Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) platforms for biomarker sensing will be presented. SERS-active nanoparticles (known as “SERS nanotags”) are used for in vivo multiplexed detection of biomarkers in an animal model. Cutting edge specialty optical fiber-based SERS-active probe is being developed (through collaboration with XLIM, CNRS, France) by combining novel nanomaterial strategies for direct biomarker sensing in clinical biofluids. I will also present our recent results on using simple and cost effective diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) for pre-clinical fat studies in animal model.

Dr. Dinish U. S is a bio-physicist and obtained his Ph.D. in bio-optics and imaging from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Currently, he is a group leader in the Laboratory of Bio-Optical Imaging at Singapore Bioimaging Consortium, A*STAR, Singapore. He also holds an Adjunct Assistant Professorships at School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, NTU.
