XLIM and ANDRA collaboration extends through the European program Modern2020

The European Commission published on 17 February 2015, the results of the evaluation of projects co-financed under the first call for proposals of the Euratom program Horizon 2020. Modern2020 project (Development and demonstration of monitoring strategies and technologies for geological disposal), leaded by ANDRA (french national radioactive waste management agency – www.andra.fr) in which the Photonic Fibre team from XLIM Laboratory (www.xlim.fr) is involved, has been retained. This project, which will take place over 48 months, brings together 28 partners in 11 countries. Modern2020 is a collaborative research project (Research and Innovation Action), which continues the research effort in the field of instrumentation and auscultation of storage. It is part of the European Platform IGD-TP (www.igdtp.eu) that brings together all European organizations responsible for the geological storage implementation of radioactive waste.
